Anna "Ruby" Gautreaux

Anna "Ruby" Gautreaux, went to her eternal home on January 3, 2023, at the age of 98. She was born in LaFourche Parish, Louisiana. She moved to Port St. Joe, Florida to marry the love of her life, Claude Gautreaux, in 1946 and remained until her death. She always loved her job of being a loving homemaker, wife, and mother. She was a talented seamstress, and spent her time sewing until her last days. She was also a wonderful cook and was known for giving of her famous cakes and pies to the locals. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port St. Joe.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Gautreaux; son, Kenneth Gautreaux; father, Alan Knight, and mother, Ernestine Knight. Her brothers, Benny Knight, Euclid Knight, Eunice Knight, Andrew Knight and Harris Knight; sisters, Laurela Plaisance and Celsa Thibodaux.

Ruby is survived by her son, Kirby Gautreaux (Tammy) of Port St Joe; daughter, Janet Conoley (Roy) of Mexico Beach; grandson's, Travis Gautreaux (Tiffany) Southport, Kevin Conoley (Jennifer), Panama City and Jeff Gautreaux; great grandchildren, Sarah Gautreaux, Samuel Gautreaux, Braxton Conoley, Chase Conoley, Justin Zimmerman, Michael Fortier and Katelyn Fortier; nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Godfrey Knight of Shriever, LA.

A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Comforter Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Ruby's name.
