Betty Francis Hardy

Betty Francis Hardy age 89 of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of White City, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. She was born in Slocomb, Alabama on September 1, 1934 to the late Colbert Bradshaw and Claudia Everett Bradshaw. Betty grew up in Bonifay, Florida before moving to Gulf County. She married the love of her life, Curtis Frasier Hardy and raised her family in White City where they attended the Assembly of God Church. Betty was a talented seamstress, making clothes for her children and family. She worked many years until retirement as a lunchroom lady at Port St. Joe High School. Betty adored her grandchildren and the time spent with them.


She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband of 48 years, Curtis Frasier Hardy; daughter, Sharon Marie Linton, and one grandson, Kenneth Sewell.


Betty is survived by her three children, Curtis Harold Hardy and wife Ann of Blakely, Georgia, Martha Dianne Baxley and husband Daniel of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Myra Lynn Morris and husband Eugene of Altha, Florida; two brothers, Johnny Frank Bradshaw (Mary Ann) of Bonifay, Florida and Colbert Joseph Bradshaw of Panama City Beach, Florida; one sister, Mary Katherine Whitaker of Bonifay, Florida; grandchildren, Daniel Baxley Jr., Paul Michael Todd, Colie Lynn Todd, Christopher Baxley, Crystal Baxley Madrid, Jamie Linton Bunch, and Logan Linton; great grandchildren, Curtis Todd, Taylor Todd, Hilton Sewell, Jazmane Carter, Seyrena Carter, Jozlynn Carter, Weston, Bailey Bunch, Reese Bunch, Hadley Linton, Maddox Madrid, and Matthias Madrid. She is also survived by one great-great grandchild, Oakley Delarosa.



A visitation will be held at Comforter Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time.


Graveside services will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida on Thursday, September 21, 2023 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Central Time.


Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
