Betty Lorene Heath

Betty Lorene Heath, age 82, passed away on December 4, 2024 in her hometown of Port St. Joe, Florida. Born on June 3, 1942, Betty was the cherished daughter of the late Carl and Mae Dees.

Betty dedicated much of her life to her career as the owner of a salon, where she touched the lives of many through her skill and warmth. She was a devoted member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God for many years and embraced her community with a loving spirit. Betty loved spending time with her family and looked forward to spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Pierce (Rick Pennington), her grandchildren Jordan Udell (Austin), B.J. Pierce, Justin Pierce (Laura), Ricky Pennington (Kayla), and Raquel Pennington, along with several great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a very special caregiver, Kerrie Haimbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; her son, James Heath; her brothers, Edgar Dees and L.C. Dees; and her sister, Jewel Burgay.

Services for Betty will be held at Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida on Friday, December 6, 2024  with visitation beginning at 12:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM officiated by Pastor Dave Fernandez. She will be laid to rest privately at Holly Hill Cemetery.
