Betty Jane Savage

Betty Jane Savage age 81 of Alford, Florida, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Dothan, Alabama. She was born on September 18, 1940 in Wears Valley, Tennessee to the late Samuel Kirkland and Bertha Ogle Kirkland. Betty spent most of her life in Knoxville before moving to Alford in 1997. She enjoyed fishing and playing games on the computer. Betty loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Worley Savage; one son, Samuel Savage and daughter in law, Paula Savage; one brother and two sisters. Betty is survived by one son, Charles Savage and one daughter, Melissa Savage; one brother, Paul Kirkland; two sisters, Faye Buhl and Mary Lou Coffey; four grand daughters, and seven great-grandsons. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery in Knoxville, Tennessee. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time until the time of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
