Brenda Iona Hayes

It is with great sadness that they family of Brenda Iona Hayes announces her passing on January 30, 2023 at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer. Brenda was born on October 6, 1944, to Jack and Iona Maynard.

Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Robert Hayes; children, James Smith, Bruce Smith, Jack Collinsworth, Lee (Reba) Collinsworth, Steven (Annie) Collinsworth, Timothy Hayes; grandchildren, Tori Smith, James Smith, James Edward Smith, Brenda (Billy) Bellinger, Jackie Collinsworth, Monica (Iggy) Collinsworth, Michael Collinsworth, and Lyndsey Butler.

Brenda was preceded in death by Sherry and Tommy Davidson.

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Brenda was a member of First Baptist Church of Wewahitchka. Brenda enjoyed spending time outdoors with a fishing pole in her hand and a cooler full of snacks beside her.

Visitation will be held at Comforter Funeral Home on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. Eastern Time until 7:00 P.M. Eastern Time

Graveside services will be held at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St Joe on Saturday, February 4th, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time with Pastor Mike Stroud officiating.
