Carolyn Kling Allen of Port St. Joe, Florida, formerly of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the age of 79. She was born in Menlo, Georgia, on April 17, 1945, to the late George Thomas Kling and Lula Whaley Kling. Carolyn moved to Gulf County three years ago and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Port St. Joe. She loved music and was a talented church pianist and organist for over forty years. Carolyn was an avid gardener and had a yard full of beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband of fifty-five years, Charles “Chuck” Gleason Allen, as well as her step-granddaughter Jordan Honeycutt.
Carolyn is survived by two sons, Pete Allen (Celita) of Port St. Joe, Florida, and Bobby Allen (Jessica) of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Sara Pless of Menlo, Georgia, and one brother, Tom Kling of Dalton, Georgia, as well as three grandchildren, Chip Allen (Brittany), Judah Allen, and River Allen, along with several nieces and nephews.
