Charles Bernard "Bernie" Buzzett

Charles Bernard "Bernie" Buzzett of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Bernie was born April 3, 1945 in Port St. Joe. He attended Port St. Joe elementary and high school, graduating in 1963. Bernie attended St. Leo College in Dade City, FL and was a loyal employee at St. Joe Paper Company until they closed in 1998. He worked at Buzzett's Drug Store and Buy-Rite Drugs until his retirement. 

Bernie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Meta and Gannon Buzzett. 

He is survived by his wife Peggy, and three stepchildren, Towana Ashworth of Port St. Joe, Michael Ashworth of Bridge City, TX, and Crystal Berg (Chuck Smith) of Hosford, FL; five grandchildren, Ashley and Ian Palermo, Cassidy Ashworth, Dakoda Berg, Megan Hill and Ryan Berg. Also, a devoted brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Nancy Buzzett; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jim Terry; nephews, Brad Buzzett (JoAnne), Matt Terry (Krystal), Hamp Terry (Leslie), and niece Amy Croker (Scott).

Services for Bernie will be held at Anchor Point Pentecostal Church on Friday, February 7, 2025 with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time and the Celebration of Life starting at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Chris Richardson officiating.
