Christopher Michael Greenwood

Christopher M. Greenwood age 30 of Wewahitchka, Florida passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at his residence. He was born on December 22, 1992 in Key West, Florida and moved from Marathon, Florida to Gulf County in 2004. He worked as a correctional officer at various facilities since 2016 and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico Beach, Florida. Christopher was a very dependable, kind, and caring person, always helping family, friends, and anyone in need, even people he barely knew. Christopher’s kindness and generosity had no limit. He enjoyed spending time with his niece Olivia. When he wasn’t with her, Christopher enjoyed spending time with his brother Caleb and playing various musical instruments. Christopher had the kindest soul, but his heart just gave out.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Rich.

Christopher is survived by his parents Lester Clyde Greenwood IV and Connie Rich Greenwood of Wewahitchka, Florida; maternal grandfather, Clyde Rich of Wewahitchka, Florida; paternal grandmother, Jane Garceau of Bangor, Maine; two brothers, Caleb Greenwood and Lester Greenwood V (Tonya) and one special niece, Olivia Greenwood all of Wewahitchka, Florida.

The Celebration of Life for Christopher Greenwood will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Central Time at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (318 Robin Lane, Mexico Beach, FL 32456). A light luncheon will follow.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
