David A. Miller

David Atkins Miller age 86 of Mexico Beach, Florida gained his heavenly reward on Sunday, August 14, 2022. He was born in West Asheville, North Carolina on December 18, 1935 to the late Clarence H. Miller and Maude Atkins Miller. David served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was saved at a young age and lived an extraordinary life through Christ that allowed him to see and experience many great things. David was a successful entrepreneur and accomplished pilot. After retirement, David along with his wife, Shirley moved to Mexico Beach, Florida where he became a city councilman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and camping, but David’s greatest love was serving Jesus Christ. He was an active member of the Gideon's and spent countless hours on the mission field spreading the gospel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Miller and Fred Miller.

David is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Shirley Miller of Mexico Beach, Florida; one son, David Miller Jr. of Mexico Beach, Florida and one sister, Marsha of Morehead City, North Carolina.
