David Allen Rice Sr.

David Allen Rice Sr., age 62, of Wewahitchka went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 17, 2023. David was born on September 8, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and was always there for his family. He had many friends and was a well-respected in our community. Throughout his life, he made many friends while working as a craftsman on many homes and businesses in our community. He is most remembered for his hard work ethic, and his love for others.

David was preceded in death by his parents ,Fredrick and Mary Rice, and brothers, Fred Rice, and Mark Rice.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Rice; children, Julie McMillian and husband Russell, Crystal Ake and husband Buddy, David Rice and fiancée Kayla Warren; grandchildren, Brooke Swigart and husband Malachi, Hayleigh McMillian, Zoey Ake, Aubrey Ake, Sadie Ake and Lily McMillian; one great-grandchild, Prairie Swigart; his brothers, Ron Rice, Bruce Rice wife Brenda, Kevin Rice, and Arnold Rice; brother in laws, Steve McClamma and wife May, Larry McClamma and wife Cissi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Westside Baptist Church on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Central Time with Rev. Tim Bailey and Sister Wanda Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
