Deborah Sue Herrington, age 60 of Port St. Joe, Florida affectionately known as “Debbie Sue” passed away in Panama City, Florida on Monday, January 17, 2022. She was born in Simpson County, Mississippi and spent most of her life there until 2020. Debbie Sue loved Alan Jackson, was an FSU fan, and enjoyed skating. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Chester May and Betty Lou Riley May; husbands, Roy Andrew Saranthus and David Herrington; daughter, Joanna Marie Saranthus; three sisters and one brother. Debbie Sue is survived by her loving daughter and caretaker, Monica Barfield and husband Chris; one brother, Ricky May; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a son, Casey Joe Herrington; a daughter, Chelsey Marie Herrington and a host of nieces and nephews. A private family graveside will be held at a later date in Mississippi. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
