Donald Ray Baker Sr.

Donald Ray Baker Sr. age 71, of Highland View, Florida passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. He was born on January 4, 1951 and spent most of his life in Gulf County, Florida. Donald proudly served his country in crash fire rescue in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Highland View Baptist Church. Donald loved spending time listening to music, making cds, and going on long drives. He also enjoyed watching drag racing, NASCAR, and football. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Ann Baker; father, Wilson Baker; mother and stepfather, Doris Richter and Luther Christmas. Donald is survived by his children, Donald Ray Baker Jr. and wife Sara Louise Baker of California, Shayla Burrows and husband William of Port St. Joe, Florida and Brianna Lynn Baker of Highland View, Florida; grandchildren, Billy Baker, Kaydee Baker, Joshua Baker, Kevin Baker, Chelsea Baker, Brandon Baker, and William Burrows. He is also survived by the Weeks and Guemmaz Families. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Highland View Baptist Church with Pastor James Younis officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, Florida. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
