Donna Elizabeth Cripes

Donna Elizabeth Cripes age 61 of Kynesville, Florida went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 5, 2024. She was born in Lanett, Alabama on August 18, 1962 to the late Donald White and Linda Faye Kight. Donna had been a resident of Jackson County for forty plus years and was an active member of Cornerstone New Life Fellowship Church in Cottondale. She worked in the office for Harrison’s Plumbing and Septic Tank Service for twenty-two years; drove a school bus for fourteen years in Cottondale and was a paraprofessional at Jackson Alternative School for two years. Donna loved her job as a bus driver and adored all of the children she came in contact with. In her free time, Donna enjoyed camping with her best friend, Clenton and riding around the woods sightseeing. She had a talent for making beautiful jewelry and crocheting things. Donna was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need and spent a lot of time checking on people that were low in spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna is survived by her best friend, Clenton Shirah of Kynesville, Florida; two sons, Lamar Cripes (Kim) of Fountain, Florida and Jokey Cripes (Cara) of Cottondale, Florida; two sisters, Shirley Conklin and Teressa Ivey; eight grandchildren, Christian Cash, Deonna Roland, Hailey Cash, Autumn Cripes, Franklin Cripes, Kennedy Harris, Jake Harris, and Kaylee Cripes and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna will be held at 12:00 P.M. Central Time on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Cornerstone New Life Fellowship in Cottondale, Florida with Pastor Mark Blaylock officiating.

Burial will follow at Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. Central Time.
