Edwin "Buddy" Glenn Chewning

Edwin Glenn Chewning, better known as "Buddy" passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Port St. Joe, Florida. He was born in Chamblee, Georgia on Aril 18, 1950 to the late Walter Glenn Chewning and Evelyn Garvin Chewning. Buddy grew up in Tucker , Georgia and graduated from Tucker High School. He then attended Furman University, earning his undergraduate in political science. Buddy went on to earn his Master's Degree from Georgia State in Atlanta and went into the banking business. He worked for various banks all over the world, including Hong Kong and the Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had resided in Panama City Beach and Port St. Joe for the past few years.

Buddy was a very kind and caring man.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Buddy is survived by one sister, Barbara Jean Beavers of Clarksville, Georgia; one niece and one nephew. He is also survived by a host of cousins.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
