Ellis Doyle Brogdon age 79 of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home. He was born in Georgia on February 27, 1944 to the late Boyd Brogdon and Marguerite Bailey Brogdon. Ellis spent most of his life in Wewahitchka where he owned the Gulf County Speedway and trucking company for many years. Ellis also flew crop dusters for an occupation. He enjoyed fishing and being on the houseboat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brandon Brogdon; one granddaughter, Phoenix Nelson; two brothers, Broward and Benny Brogdon.
Ellis is survived by his children, Bryan Brogdon (Melissa), Brandi Brogdon, Tammy Pridgeon (Bud) all of Wewahitchka, Florida, and Doyle Brogdon of Texas; grandchildren, Bubba Brogdon, Bailey Brogdon, Brandon Brogdon, Hailey Melvin, Nicki Lanford, Selina Brogdon, and Dustin Brogdon; one great grandchild, Tyler Brogdon.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
