Francis Xaivor Carney

Francis Xaivor Carney age 73, passed away in White City, Florida on Sunday, February 23, 2025.  He was born on March 15, 1951, to the late Vincent Carney and Josephine Lopiccolo Carney.

He was a devoted employee, having worked and retired from the Town of Mt. Pleasant Highway Department in New York, a testament to his commitment and work ethic. For the past 13 years, Francis had been a resident of Dallas, Georgia, having moved from his birthplace in White Plains.

Francis had a spirit for adventure, especially when it came to his hobbies. He was passionate about riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and thoroughly enjoyed visiting friends in Florida. He found solace and joy in spending time at the beach, going out on the boat, and shark fishing.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his wife of thirty-five years, Rachael Carney of Dallas, Georgia. Francis was a proud father to four children: Catherine Davis (Champ) of Dallas, Georgia; Theresa Smith (Stephen) of Wingdale, New York; Francis X. Carney III of Dallas, Georgia; and Kimberly Carney of Dallas, Georgia. His legacy continues through his thirteen beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie Carney, Daniel Fog, Ember Carney, Dakota Carney, Stryder Lee Sizemore, Rayan Carney, Kali Allen, Jakai Davis, Kashton Carney, Xaivor Carney, Amari Smith, Raeann Smith, and Delilah Carney, who will carry the warmth of his memory and teachings into their futures. He is also survived by friend and caretaker Robert Sizemore of White City, Fl.

Francis was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, John Carney; and one sister, Maureen Maruggi. 

Memorialization will be by cremation.
