Freddie Lee Watkins Sr. age 63 of Fountain, Florida passed away at his residence on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was born on June 19, 1958 to the late James Charles Watkins and Harriet Pate. Freddie spent his childhood and early adult years in Port St. Joe, Florida. He spent most of his adult life in Bay County, Florida. Freddie was a jack of all trades, working as a truck driver, certified small engine mechanic, and parking attendant. He was a true outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting, being on the water, and woodworking. Freddie had a big heart and would give you the shirt off his back. He was a member of Sandy Mountain Church in Fountain. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Wallace Watkins. Freddie is survived by his wife Ethelynn Watkins; children, Melissa Watkins, Katrina Danbar, and Freddie Watkins Jr.; two adopted children, Jimmy Watkins and Christina Burniston; one step son, Anthony Pitts; siblings, Joe Watkins, Wayne Watkins, Rosa Powell, James Pate and Willie Pate. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Eastern time on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 under the pavilion at Holly Hill Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
