Geraldine Corbett, life long resident of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born in Port St. Joe, Florida on July 24, 1939 to the late George W. Laurimore and Lillie Mae Morgan Laurimore. Geraldine spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her children and was of the United Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and was an outstanding cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Billy Ray Rogers and Ricky Gene Rogers; two sisters, Nadine King and Barbara Lawler; two brothers, John Wayne Laurimore and George C. Laurimore.
Mrs. Geraldine is survived by one son, James Edward Douglas Rogers of Wewahitchka, Florida; two daughters, Mary Ellen Linton (Bill) of Wewahitchka, Florida and Judy Ann Chastain (Guy) of West Virginia; one brother, Marvin Laurimore of Wewahitchka, Florida, one sister, Mary Ann Green (Frank) of Panama City, Florida; three grandchildren, Maria June Rogers of Orlando, Florida, Shawn and Timothy Merideth, both of Wewahitchka, Florida. She is also survived by three great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Geraldine will be held at 10:00 A.M. Central Time on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the First Pentecostal Church of Wewa with Reverend Jonathan Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida.
