Glenda Rae Hatfield, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, was born on March 28, 1948, in Eastpoint, Florida. She peacefully departed from this world on Thursday, December 26, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Glenda’s life was a testament to the power of faith and the importance of family. She cherished her loved ones above all else, nurturing them with her kindness and support. A devoted follower of Christ, Glenda found joy in her daily practices, which included reading the Bible and sharing her musical talents by singing and playing hymns on the piano before she became sick. Her home was often filled with the sweet sounds of her worship and music, a reflection of her deep connection to her faith.
Those who knew Glenda will remember her for her prayerful spirit. Whenever someone asked for prayer, she would stop whatever she was doing and lift them up in heartfelt supplication. Her faith was a guiding light, with her eyes always set on Jesus, providing comfort and strength to those around her. In her own words, Glenda imparted a simple yet profound message to her family: “Set your eyes on Jesus, keep Him in your heart always, ask for forgiveness of sin, and live with faith knowing that through Jesus we will all meet again.” This wisdom will echo in the hearts of her loved ones as they carry on her legacy.
Glenda was predeceased by her husband, James Milton Hatfield, son, Milton Ray Hatfield, sister Sharon Kelley and husband, Jim Kelley, along with parents, Odis and HenryElla Millender.
Glenda is survived by her loving family, Daren Hatfield, son, Heather Frazier, daughter, and husband, Mark Frazier, many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who will continue to honor her memory through their own acts of love and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her generous spirit, her unwavering love, and her steadfast faith.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Eastpoint Cemetery. Family will have a graveside viewing at 1:00 P.M.
Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
