Harold Gill "Capt. Gill"

Harold Howard Gill Jr., affectionately known as Capt. Gill, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the age of 83, after a lengthy illness. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 24, 1941.

Capt. Gill was a  proud merchant marine and dedicated many years to seafaring, navigating vast oceans and embracing the calling of the sea. He was an auxiliary member of the John C Gainous VFW Post 10069. 

Capt. Gill is survived by his beloved wife, Judith Gill, and one daughter, Suzanne Doran. He also leaves behind cherished memories with two grandchildren, Emma Doran and Tristan Doran. His loving family further includes his sister-in-law, Barbara Gill; two nieces Sophia Hudson and Roxanne Gill and one nephew Buck Gill (Destiny)

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
