Helen M. Neel

Helen M. Neel, age 84, born on September 30, 1940, in Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home in Port St. Joe, Florida, on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Helen's life was deeply rooted in her entrepreneurial spirit, achieving fulfillment as a self-employed restaurant owner in Oklahoma.

Helen is remembered for her warm heart and dedication to family. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Bobby Neel, residing in Port St. Joe, Florida. Helen was a cherished stepmother to two stepsons, Charles Neel (Joyce) and Allen Neel, both residing in North Carolina. Her family circle also includes a daughter-in-law, Donna of Dallas, Texas, and a sister-in-law, Gayle (George) of Tennessee. She was blessed with numerous grandchildren who brought joy to her life, as well as many nieces and nephews, among them a special niece, Carol Lindsey (Bill) of Wewahitchka, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three children—Brenda, Billy, and Merle—and numerous siblings.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Monday, December 2, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, Florida with Pastor Dave Fernandez officiating.
