Henry Ivey Banks, age 60 of Telogia, Florida, passed away with his wife at his side at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 14th, 2024 after a 20 year battle with heart failure. He was born on October 22, 1963.
He is proceeded in death by his parents William David Banks and Carrie June Henry Banks, his brother William Joseph (Joe) Banks and his twin nephews Joe and Joseph Banks.
He is survived by his wife Dora Ann Barrentine Banks of Telogia, Florida, his daughter Angel Vera Marie Banks (and Adam) of Monticello, Florida one brother David Banks of Eastpoint, Florida.one sister April Banks Dalton (and husband Frankie) of Eastpoint. He is also survived by his nephews William David (Bill Bill) Banks, Chris Nabors, Marcus Dalton, and William Dalton all of Eastpoint,Florida, and Joshua Banks of Crestview, Florida, his nieces April Russell (and husband Chris) of Eastpoint, Florida and Amonda Kelly (and husband Jordan) of Boca Raton, Florida five great nephews Stephen Malone Jr., Christopher Russell Jr., Cyrus Russell, David Dalton, Charles Dalton and four great nieces Morgan Malone, Cloey Malone, Harmony Malone, and Sheyanne Russell all of Eastpoint.
Henry proudly served his community as a Firefighter for the Eastpoint Volunteer Fire Department and the Parker Fire Department and he loved his family dearly.
Services will be held at United Baptist Church in Eastpoint, Florida on Friday, October 18, 2024 with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time and the funeral at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Interment will follow at Eastpoint Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest in his hometown.
Reception will be held after the interment at the Eastpoint Volunteer Fire Department next to Vrooman Park.
Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
