Hosea Neil Brown

Hosea Neil Brown passed away on November 23, 2023 at home after an extended illness. Neil was 82 years old. Neil was born in Nauvoo, Alabama, and lived his early years there. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan. After returning, he moved to Montgomery, Alabama, where lived most of his adult life in and around Montgomery. After retiring, Neil moved to Port St. Joe, Florida and then spent his last 18 years living on Cape San Blas. Neil had been visiting the Cape since the 1970s and always wanted to retire there. While living on the Cape he continued his love of art, painting multiple beautiful landscapes, boats, and attractions in the area.

Neil was preceded in death by, his parents, Marvin and Theola Brown.

Neil is survived by, his wife Judy; two brothers, Lester Brown and Michael Brown; two sisters, Mary Sanford and Marsha Collier; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Laura and Jeff Montgomery; stepson and daughter-in-law, Ben and Catherine Easterling; Additionally, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Neil also leaves behind many great friends from his years on the Cape.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
