Janet Nations Davis, 67, of White City, FL passed away April 30, 2023 surrounded by her family. Janet was born May 28, 1955 to George and Merle Nations of Mobile, Alabama where she grew up with her siblings Alan Nations (Lenor), Stan Nations (Diane), and Cheryl Estes (Billy).
She married the love of her life, Reverend Ross “Nick” Davis July 14, 1973 and spent the next nearly 50 years serving the Lord alongside him. Janet was a wonderful mother to Tracy McGlon (Denny) of Wewahitchka, FL, Andrew Davis (Brooke) of Wewahitchka, FL and Stacy Hanna of Marianna, FL. She was known to many as “Miss Janet” but to most as “Memaw” because of the nurturing love she had for her grandchildren: Kenzie Hanna, Anna McGlon, and Ross and Meredith Davis.
Janet lived out her faith in the most genuine way.She was humble and had a servant’s heart. She was a homemaker and caretaker and she loved her Lord, her husband, her children and grandchildren, her siblings, her church family, and Alabama football!
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her son-in-law, Sammy Hanna; her beloved grandson, Ross
Davis; and her granddaughter in love, Mea Stoecklin.
Services will be held at Westside Baptist Church Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 4:00 pm CT. The family will receive guests at 3:00 pm CT.
