Jarred “Colby” Quinn was born in Tampa, Florida on November 19, 1999 to Tandra Burns and Terry Quinn Sr. We affectionately called him Colby. Colby accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a devoted son, grandson, brother, nephew, godson, cousin and friend. Colby resided in various locations; Florida, North Carolina and Chicago Illinois but considered Port St. Joe Florida as his home. He graduated from Port St. Joe Jr/Sr High in 2018. He attended college at The University of Central Florida (UCF), earning his Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) in 2023. After graduating UCF Colby worked in Orlando before moving to Chicago. Colby worked as an activity’s coordinator with the Terra Vista group in Chicago. Colby was a very personable, friendly and caring person. Everywhere Colby went he was well liked. People would often comment about his winning personality and wonderful radiating smile. His smile would warm your heart and a laugh that would make all he heard smile. Colby was a member of Thompson Temple First Born Church in Port St. Joe, Fl. and attended New Mission Temple Church of God in Christ in Chicago, IL. Colby enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved to travel, shop “thrift” and cook. Colby was very adventurous wanting to see the world. He traveled to Canada, Haiti, and made friends everywhere he went. Colby was adored and loved by the young and old. He was always positive and upbeat. Colby had numerous health challenges but never let them bring him down. He often gave his testimony regarding his health and his signature song was “I am a living Testimony” always encouraging others to not give up. He was always willing to give and share, this he did his entire life; even in death as an organ donor. Colby was a remarkable person and will truly be missed but never forgotten.
