Jason Ivey Weathers age 35 of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away at his home on Wednesday, May18, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1987 in Panama City, Florida. Jason spent most of his life in Gulf County where he enjoyed fishing, reading science fiction and fantasy books. He was a talented mechanic and avid Florida Gator fan. Jason was a wonderful, giving person that would always help his friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one uncle, Keith Weathers. Jason is survived by his father, Jim Weathers of Wewahitchka, Florida; mother, Kathy Scalpi of Panama City, Florida; one brother, Matthew Weathers of Panama City, Florida; two aunts, Marilyn Carr and Kim Bullock (Tony) all of Panama City, Florida; four cousins, David Carr, Adam Carr, Tyler Bullock, and Kristen Weathers; one niece, Brianna Weathers and one nephew, Landen Weathers. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Westside Baptist Church in Wewahitchka, Florida with Pastor Derrick Gerber officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
