Jerry Lamar Peak, age 78, went to be with the Lord on July 5,2023 in Panama City, surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was a 1964 graduate of Port St. Joe High School. At a young age, Jerry owned and operated Timco Gas Station in Highland View for many years. He continued his working career at Basic Magnesium and retired from the St. Joe Company Woodlands Division in 1998. Jerry enjoyed working in the yard, canning tomatoes, and spending time with his family, especially on the 4th of July. He was a member and faithfully attended Hope Fellowship and Worship Center in Port St. Joe. He was born in Holmes County, FL on August 29,1944 to the late Leroy and Ethel Peak. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry Lamar Peak, Jr., and his siblings Oneal, Hosea, JR, Noah, Roy, Jake, Earl, Paul and Cora Peak. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn, daughters Tonya Plair (Mike Owens) of Mexico Beach, Joni White (David) of Port St. Joe. Grandchildren Jordon Plair (Tiffany), Lexie Plair (Jack), Heath Plair, Brooke and Averi White and a sister, Carolyn Williams of Port St. Joe and many nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Long Avenue Baptist Church on Saturday, July 8th, 2023. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time and the service at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time with Bro. Tim Bailey and Bro. Glenn Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery.
