Jerry Lynn Arhelger, age 72, peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2023.
Jerry was born April 6, 1951 at Tyndall Air Force Base near Panama City, Florida where his father was stationed. Jerry grew up in Wewahitchka, Florida where his mother’s parents lived. Jerry’s maternal grandparents were very influential in his life from a young age and would pray over him constantly when he was a boy. Those prayers, along with the encouragement of others, were the foundation that led him to accept Jesus as his Savior and guided his spiritual walk and ministry work.
Jerry is loved and remembered by many. There are many stories of how much he has meant to people from around the world and how much his music ministry touched lives. He truly brought the love of Jesus wherever he went. Jerry was the Pastor of Resurrection Fellowship Church in Mexico Beach for the past thirteen years where he was loved by his congregation and will be truly missed.
Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Eunice, and father, Larry.
Jerry is survived by his four children and two grandchildren: daughter, Hope, and sons, Jonathan (Courtney), David (Taylor) and Daniel. Jerry loved being “Opa” to his grandchildren, Henry and Georgianna.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka, Florida on Saturday, May 20, 2023 beginning at 12:00 P.M. Central Time. The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 A.M. Central Time. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Roberts Cemetery.
