Joe Anthony Purswell

Joe Anthony Purswell, lifelong resident of Gulf County, Florida passed away in Panama City on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 56. He was born on February 25, 1967 in Port St. Joe. Joe worked in concrete, construction, and commercial fishing all his life. He was an avid outdoors man that enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe was a sports enthusiast and loving playing ball with his family and friends. He was also a die hard FSU fan.

He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Purswell and one sister, Teresa Lucas Purswell.

Joe is survived by his father, Joe Mac Purswell and step mother, JoAnn Purswell of Wewahitchka, Florida; one son, Austin Purswell (Aimee) of Dalkeith, Florida; one daughter, Brandi Purswell (Nelson) of Port St. Joe, Florida; one brother, Jamie Purswell (Carrie Jo) of Wewahitchka, Florida and one grandson, Waylon Purswell of Dalkeith, Florida , One nephew Travis Lucas of Wewahitchka, Florida and two nieces Amanda Lucas and Amber Purswell of Wewahitchika Joe is also survived by two stepbrothers, one stepsister, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. Central Time at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka, Florida with Pastor Joey Smith and Pastor Eddie Causey officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M. Central Time.
