Joel Fredrick Lanca

Joel Fredrick Lanca age 81 of Wewahitchka, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 31, 1941 to the late Joel Bronco Lanca and Thelma Hurdle Lanca. Joel was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War and spent a short time in the military before being honorably discharged. He moved to Newnan, Georgia where he was the owner of a construction company for twenty plus years. After retiring, Joel and his wife Janice moved to Wewahitchka, Florida in 2011. He enjoyed baseball and was a Boston Red Sox's fan. Joel also enjoyed woodworking and over the years had constructed many beautiful furniture pieces.  Joe was of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joel is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Janice Gorman Lanca of Wewahitchka, Florida; one daughter, Dawn Lanca-Potter and husband Garth of Concord, Georgia; one sister, Barbara Bourque of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Chandler, Aiden, Xander, Liam, Grayson, and Quinn all of Concord, Georgia.
