Kathy Denise Bennett Denig

Kathy Denise Bennett Denig age 63 passed away at her residence in Carrabelle, Florida on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 17, 1959 to the late Daniel Bennett and Willie Barnett Bennett and moved to Franklin County over fifty years ago. Kathy enjoyed working in the yard and taking care of her animals. She was known to be a collector of whatknots and oddities. Kathy loved spending time with her friends; most importantly she carried on her parents’ lifelong tradition of playing quarter poker with friends hosted at the kitchen table in her home. She was well known and loved in Carrabelle and she will truly be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Willie Bennett; sister in law, “Doris Ann” Chastain and niece, Sarah Beth Stoker.

Kathy is survived by one aunt, Martha Jones of Georgia; one brother, John Phillip Chastain of Carrabelle, Florida; niece Lynn Chastain-Polk (Rufus), nephews Zac Polk and Zane Polk (Taylor); niece Misty Dawn DeCourcey and nephew Johnathan DeCourcey; nieces Keilani Stoker (Trey), Fallon Lauderback and nephew Kyler Stoker. She is also survived by her best

friend-the sister she always wanted, Ruby Litton as well as her very loved fur babies Tess and Shuggie.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time, on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrabelle, Florida with Pastor Ron Barks officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
