Lauren Nicole Tomlinson

Lauren Nicole Tomlinson age 23 of Port St. Joe, Florida was tragically taken from us too soon on Sunday, May 5, 2024. She was a loving young woman with a big heart and bright spirit with an affinity for animals and music.

Lauren was born in Panama City, Florida on February 8, 2001 and spent her life in Port St. Joe. She was a graduate of Port St. Joe High School where she was a proud member of The Band of Gold. Lauren learned to play most of the instruments while working up to the position of Drum Major. After high school, she attended Troy University and was a proud member of the Sound of the South Marching Band, She also belonged to the Phi Boota Roota- Alpha Zeta Chapter. Lauren attended Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida while teaching for Hillsborough County Public Schools. Lauren was working at Keeper’s Bistro in PSJ where she loved her coworkers while home for the summer.

Lauren loved horses and competed in English Saddle at a young age. She loved to sketch, draw, and star gaze, but her passion was playing and listening to music. Lauren cherished every moment spent with her friends and was inseparable from her loving sister, Hannah.

She is survived by her mother, Candance Tomlinson; father, Erik Tomlinson; one sister, Hannah Tomlinson all of Port St. Joe, Florida; grandparents, Bob and Anita Thompson; aunt Alice McCrory and husband John; uncle David Thompson and wife Amy; six cousins, Drew Sebastian, Mason Thompson, Aiden Thompson, Jennifer Young, Erica Bates, and Haley Bates all of Huntsville, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life service for Lauren will be held at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Port St. Joe High School.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Port St. Joe Band Scholarship Fund in honor of Lauren (Centennial Bank ACCOUNT # 505252771) or Grievance Fund to help with the financial burden of an untimely loss (Centennial Bank ACCOUNT # 505250152)
