Levon Maurice Stripling

LeVon Maurice Stripling age 80 of White City, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 3, 1942 in Bonifay, Florida and spent most of his life in Gulf County where he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mexico Beach, Florida. LeVon was a veteran of the United State Navy where he served his country as a medical corpsman. He worked forty years for Premier Chemical in Port St. Joe before retiring. During those forty years, LeVon wore many hats and worked in many different positions, even serving as treasurer for the Union. He loved music, singing, genealogy, gaming, and reading. LeVon had a fascination with birds, especially eagles. He adored his family and his greatest love was spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Stripling and Ethel Webb Stripling; two brothers, and two sisters.

LeVon is survived by his loving wife of thirty-two years, Peggy Jo Stripling of White City, Florida; four children, Marcy Hunt (David) of White City, Florida, Holly Cargill of White City, Florida, Dana Padilla (Michael Harper) of Salem, Alabama and Jonathon Stripling of White City, Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Shai, Lena, Zachary, George, Max, Allie, Zion, Victoria, and Jonathon; four great grandchildren, Wade, Eli, Carter Dru, and Memphis Marie.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Eastern time, on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Holly Hill Cemetery Pavilion. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the service.
