Lillian Trotter Chism, age 92, better known as Mrs. Lil passed from this life on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her home in Mobile, Alabama. She was born on March 10, 1931 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late Roy Earl Trotter and Leola Mouton Trotter. Over the years, Lillie lived in Texas, Louisiana, Florida and settling in Alabama. She was a member of Moffett Road Baptist Church. Lillie was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching games on T.V. She also liked to garden and was an animal lover.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Grady Eugene “Gene” Chism; one son, Michael Rush Chism, and one brother, James Allen Trotter.
Lillie is survived by one son, Byron Chism of Freeport, Florida; one stepdaughter, Patricia Lenyard of Miramar, Florida; one sister, Sarah Trotter Childers of Rome, Georgia, and one grandson, Kyle Chism of Nederland, Texas.
Graveside services will be held under the pavilion at Holly Hill Cemetery on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time with Pastor Boyd Evans officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 2:30 P.M.
