Linda W. Bancroft

Linda W. Bancroft age 76 of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her home. She was born in South Carolina on August 23, 1946 to the late Robert E. Walsingham and Cosetta Mae Darley. Linda spent most of her life in the Port St. Joe and Wewahitchka areas where she taught over thirty years for the Gulf County School System and was a devoted member of Beach Baptist Chapel. Linda loved caring for and feeding the multitude of animals who visited her back yard daily. She and her late husband, Terry, cherished each other greatly during their 40 years of marriage and loved everything about Port St. Joe and its people. Linda loved spending time reading mystery novels and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Terry Bancroft and her parents.

Linda is survived by two nephews, John (Kyrie) Farnell and Stephen (Beth) Farnell; two dear great nephews, Henry and Ian Farnell. She is also survived by four special cousins; Schley Kemp, Ann Messick, Henrietta (Freddie) Branch, and Bob (Dottie) Darley.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Central Time on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida with Pastor David Nichols officiating.
