Marion L. Thompson

Marion Louise Thompson (Estano), 92, of Panama City, Florida, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Marion was born on April 5, 1932, in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Minnie (Kimball) Estano, her husband Vernon Thompson, her son Gary S. Hulsman, her granddaughter, Christina Hand (Hulsman), her great grandson Kyler Lucas, and fourteen brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by brother George Estano (Margaret) of Massachusetts, her daughter, Sue Burdick (Ed) of Panama City, Fl, her sons Dave Hulsman (Linda) of Southport, Fl and Tom Hulsman (Deanna) of Greenville, Ohio. Her grandchildren, Scott McDonald of Elgin, SC, Michele Lucas (Clint) of Lexington, SC, Cheryl Hulsman (Anthony) of Callaway, Fl, David Hulsman (Teresa) of Callaway, Fl, Angela Joyner (Joshua) of Port St. Lucie, Fl, Melissa Hulsman (Dallas) of Callaway, Fl, Hope Lee of Troy, Oh, Nathan Hulsman (Halley) of Lafayette, La, Marina Gore (Justin) of Lynn Haven, Fl., 20 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Marion enjoyed life to the fullest and was a fiery independent woman to the end. She loved to play Bingo, travel to Biloxi and Boston, and spend time with family and friends. Marion enjoyed her grandchildren and took care of her youngest grandchild Marina. Marina formed a special bond with her grandmother after the passing of her parents and assisted Marion in her everyday needs.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Hope (Lynn Haven) Cemetery 4849 CR-389 Lynn Haven, Fl 32344. The family will receive visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m.

 Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
