Mary Frances Eddy age 78 of Apalachicola, Florida passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Blountstown, Florida. She was born on January 31, 1945 in Miami, Florida to the late Everett Thompson and Mary Thompson. Mary spent most of her life in Franklin County where she worked as a CNA and in the seafood industry for many years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and taking care of all of her animals. Mary will be remembered as a selfless person that always put other’s needs in front of her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Eddy; two children, Deloris Whitehurst and James Earl Coulter; two brothers, James Thompson and Donald Thompson; and twin sister, Martha Creamer.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Frances Messer and husband Jerry and Shirley Ann Freeman; one son, Timothy Coulter and wife LeAnne; two brothers, Charles Thompson and Sammy Thompson; two sisters, Margaret Newton and Ruth Poppell; seven grandchildren, Bobby Langley, Brandon Langley, Brian Lolley, Steven James, Brittany Livingston, Caitlyn Paul, and Cam Blackman. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Apalachicola, Florida on Thursday, November 30, 2023 beginning at 1:00 P.M. Eastern Time with Reverend Arthur Coulter officiating.
