Mary Frances Rhames 75 of Stone Mill Creek, Florida passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Calhoun County, Florida on January 23, 1947 to the late George Charles and Dora Mae Dykes. Mary enjoyed fishing, ceramics, crocheting, embroidery, and “cheating” at cards. Her greatest love was being a memaw and a mother. She attended New Harvest Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Rhames; grandson, Aaron Stanley and granddaughter, Arielle Bragg. Mary is survived by six children, Olie Rhames (Sabrina), Mary Craft (David), Renae Bragg (Lee), Jerry Rhames, Gary Rhames, Dale Rhames (Carol); grandchildren, Jenny Wood, Sara Craft, Sasha Craft, John Wood, Sierra Shiver, Ashley Rhames, Shoshonie Bruce, Cheyenne Bragg, John Tyler Rhames, Hunter Rhames, and Cherokee Rhames. She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren and other family members. Funeral services will be held at New Harvest Fellowship Church in Wewahitchka on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. Central Time. Ms. Rhames will lie in state at her home (380 Michael Street, Wewahitchka, FL 32465) from 6:00 P.M. Tuesday Night January 25, 2022 until Thursday morning, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. The family will also receive friends at the church from 12:00 P.M. until the start of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
