Mary Lou Louise Dees

Mary Louise Dees, more affectionately known as Mary Lou or Gran to her friends and family, passed away at her residence on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born in Olean, New York on September 20, 1942 to the late Treversie Peter “Pete” Mack and Ann Katherine Convey Mack. Mary Lou had lived on and off in Gulf County since 1985. She enjoyed coloring, drawing, writing children's stories, reading, fishing, hunting, and traveling. Mary Lou loved her family and her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charles Frederick Dees Jr.; one brother, Robert James Mack, and one great great grandson, Kaleb Easter.

Mary Lou is survived by her three children, Velvet M. Hall (Donald), Mason B. Dees, and Audra E. Dees-Hoover (Mikel); two sisters, Ann Marie Bordner and Sharon Gordley; Grandchildren, Michael D. Harrell "Bucky”, James F. Harrell "JJ" (Diane), Monica Rainey (Brad), Christina Ward, Allen L. Easter (Stephanie), Tony L. Easter, Jr. (Melanie), Joshua L. Easter (Samantha), Christopher M. Hoover (Jessica), and Samantha D. Hoover; Great-Grandchildren, Krista, Shelby, Haley, Mikie, Brooke, Brenda, Jonathan, Kaylee, Kameron, Tucker, Madison, Miranda, Keersten, Kylee, Garrett, Indy, Ariel, Riley, Samuel, Nevaeh, NATALIE, Colt, Isaac, and Amelia and one Great-Great Grandchild,

Zora Lei.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Central Time on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka, Florida with Pastor Joey Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Buckhorn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. Central time on Wednesday May 24, 2023 until Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Mrs. Mary Lou’s residence (1030 South 2nd Street, Wewahitchka, Florida 32465).
