Mary Margaret Scott

Mary Margaret Scott age 84 of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida. She was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on April 18, 1939. Mary spent a good portion of her life in New Jersey where she was very active in her community organizations. She played a big role with the Volunteer Fire Department and school PTA. Mary was known for her huge heart and bigger than life attitude. She had a passion for Broadway and worked as a Wardrobe Assistant for many years where she met and dressed many famous people. Mary enjoyed life and a good cheeseburger. Mary moved to Port St. Joe, Florida over 20 years ago and quickly became a loved member of the community.

She will be missed by all that knew her, but Mrs. Mary left a great legacy and a lifetime of memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents Allen Robertson and Margaret Mary Robertson; one sister, Ann Moore and one brother, Allen Robertson.

Mary is survived by three children, William VanDerTulip (Abby) of Port St. Joe, Florida; Margaret Smyth of New Jersey, and James VanDerTulip of Florida; one brother, Fred Robertson on New Jersey; six granchildren, Hunter VanDerTulip, Fisher VanDerTulip, Ariell Fassett, Nicholas VanDerTulip, Jessica Smyth, and Tyler Smyth. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in New Jersey.
