Myrtice Marie Prescott

Myrtice Marie Prescott age 75 passed away in Marianna, Florida on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born in Wewahitchka, Florida on May 12, 1947 to the late Mack Charles Rhames and Myrtle Page Rhames. Myrtice spent most of her life in Gulf County until moving to Fountain in 1993. She continued to live there until becoming a resident of Courtyard Healthcare Center in 2018. Myrtice loved living there and was known as “Nana” to the staff and other residents. She was a homemaker most of her life and loved spending time and taking care of her family. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and all sorts of animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas “Smitty” Prescott; one brother, Charles Curtis Rhames, and her companion for twenty years, William Blair.

Myrtice is survived by her two children, Kimberly Heming (Richard) of Graceville, Florida and Coy Prescott (Jennifer) of Union City, Pennsylvania; one sister, Geraldine Jackson (Charles) of Jackson County Florida; three grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, and Andrew.

Graveside services will be held at Roberts Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Florida at 1:00 P.M. Central Time on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating.
