Nicholas Anthony DiLallo age 80 of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 in Panama City, Florida. He was born in Port Chester, New York on June 20, 1941 to the late Dominick DiLallo and Rose Planamento DiLallo. Nicholas was a veteran of the United States Army. And of the Catholic faith. Nicholas spent most of his life in Bedford, New York, where he was the proud owner of D’s Variety store for forty years. The local clientele and patrons knew him as simply “D”. When he wasn’t working, Nicholas enjoyed spending time in his garage tinkering and fixing things. After retirement, Nicholas, along with his loving wife moved to Port St. Joe, Florida in 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Emily Anne; two brothers, Louis and Dominick. Nicholas is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Laura of Port St. Joe, Florida; children, Nicholas and wife Terry of Mexico Beach, Florida, Sara and husband John of Louisville, Kentucky, Rebecca of Brooklyn, New York, Evan and wife Laura of Leesburg, Virginia; two brothers, Orlando and Vito, both of Brewster, New York; one sister, Joyce of Fort Myers, Florida; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristi, Brayden and Kayla. Memorializtion will be by cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
