Ralph Thomas "Tom" Falconer, 90, passed away on March 15, 2025, in Mexico Beach, Florida; former resident of Leesburg, Florida.
Born on July 15, 1934, in Baltimore City, Maryland, Tom spent his life cultivating a deep appreciation for history, music, and storytelling. A retired member of the Steamfitters Union Local 602 out of Washington, D.C., he dedicated his career to skilled craftsmanship and hard work.
Tom had an enduring passion for history, particularly World War I and World War II. He was a wealth of knowledge on the subject and loved recounting historical events with vivid detail. His enthusiasm for storytelling extended beyond history—he had a knack for making people laugh with his quick wit and well-timed jokes. Whether sharing tales from the past or engaging in friendly banter over a game of cards, Tom had a way of bringing joy to those around him.
Music was another great love of his life. He found comfort and delight in listening to Bluegrass music, often letting its melodies fill his home. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball, cheering on his favorite teams, the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles with unwavering enthusiasm.
Tom is survived by his brother Paul R. Falconer; his two sons, Tom Falconer Jr. and Tim Falconer; and his five daughters, Susan Falconer Carter, Linda Falconer Liebersbach, Becky Falconer Vandale, M. Jeannie Falconer Clark, and Sandra Hunt, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Alice Miller Falconer and Ralph S. Falconer; his brothers John R. Falconer and Bruce A. Falconer; and his sister Marcianna Falconer Wood, and half siblings Donald Byard and Elizabeth Byard. And, most recently predeceased by the love of his life of 52 years, Helen Wanda Falconer; they are reunited forever in eternity.
Tom’s legacy lives on through the stories he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the memories cherished by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
