Robert Alan Miller

Robert Alan Miller age 70 of St. Joe Beach, Florida passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at his residence. He was born on December 3, 1951 in Long Island, New York to the late Alvin Miller and Thelma Mersch Miller. Robert spent many years in Lodi, California, and then Jackson County, Florida before moving to Gulf County in 2000. He served in the United States Navy and worked as an engineer for the Civil Service until retirement. Robert was a talented craftsman in woodworking. He built beautiful wooden bowls and slab tables. He enjoyed gardening and sharing fresh vegetables with everyone. Robert also loved his cats, Chloe, Jr., and Rascal. He adored his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Brian Kooyman.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of twenty-two years, Debra Miller; three daughters, Tia Klaus, Tiffany Holmes (Scott), and Traci Benefield (James); one sister, Linda Utt (Don); five grandchildren, Dallas and Zoie Klaus, Marshall Holmes, Levi and Jase Benefield; one niece, Carrie Elliot (Chris).

Memorialization will be by cremation. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
