Robert L. Bush, a cherished husband and father, passed away at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on February 13, 1975, in Alabama, Robert was a dynamic individual whose spirited personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Robert graduated from Marianna High School and dedicated 18 years of his career to the City of Panama City, where he served as the Utilities Operation Manager. His work ethic exemplified his deep commitment to his responsibilities, and he was respected and admired by colleagues and friends alike.
A fun-loving man, Robert delighted in creating joyful memories with his family. He had a passion for holidays, especially Christmas, and took great pleasure in decorating for the season. He loved gathering with loved ones for cookouts, relishing in the art of smoking meat, organizing shrimp boils, and making wontons. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of fishing and hunting, activities that he often shared with those closest to him.
Robert’s family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tandy Perry of Fountain, Florida; four children: Trace C. Bush of Blountstown, Florida; Cierra M. Bush of Marianna, Florida; Wyatt A. Bush of Fountain, Florida; and Malin Hartsfield of Fountain, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Vicki Wilson of Marianna, Florida; his nephew, Cody Barwick of Fountain, Florida; and his niece, Tori McCorvey of Wewahitchka, Florida.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George Bush and Vivian Bush, paternal grandparents Augustus and Addie Bush and maternal grandparents, Robert and Jewel Miller who he held dear in his heart.
As we remember Robert L. Bush, we celebrate a life filled with the love of family, a steadfast commitment to hard work, and the many moments of joy he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 12:00 P.M. Central Time until 2:00 P.M. Central Time on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Frank Nelson Park in Panama City, Florida.
