Ronald "Ron" G. Bizek

Ronald G. Bizek affectionately known as Ron age 75 of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away in Panama City, Florida on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 10, 1947. Ron was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. After his time in the military, Ron attended diesel mechanic school and became employed at Ryder. He later became a correctional officer and worked at Gulf CI until he retired as a SGT. Ron was a lifetime member of the DAV and the VFW Post 10069. He adored his family and the time spent watching his grandsons grow up. Ron enjoyed fancy cars and took special pride in his tools. He loved animals and helped take care of the dogs and cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Marilyn Bizek of Port St. Joe, Florida; two sons, Brant Bizek (Eva) of San Antonio, Texas and Brian Bizek of Port St. Joe, Florida; two grandsons, Blake and Brandon; two granddaughters, Chloe and Alexis.

Ron will be missed by his family, friends, and a special K-9 companion, Snowflake.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Holly Hill Cemetery pavilion with Rev. Glenn Davis officiating and military honors.
