Ronald Wayne Parrish

Ronald Wayne Parrish , lifelong resident of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the age of 78. He was born on November 29, 1943 to the late Steven Troy Parrish and Audrey Aline O’Brian Parrish. After graduating from high school, Wayne enlisted n in the United States Navy and served for 2 years. He then went to work for the Apalachicola Northern Railroad where he worked his way up to Vice President of the company. Wayne enjoyed sports and was a Crazy, AVID Florida Gator fan. He was also an animal lover. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Terry Parrish. Wayne is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Parrish of Dothan, Alabama; children, Shannon Parrish of Port St. Joe, Florida, Jason Hathaway (Laura) of La Vernia, TX, Ray Bailey (Jenny) of Port Joe, FL, Leanne Gotdald and family, Colleen Nikoupour and family , Vickie Dempsey and family; two brothers, Jerry Parrish (Lee Anna), and Steve Parrish; grandsons Blake, Adam and Joshua Hathaway all of La Vernia, TX; one niece and one nephew Justin and Jamie Parrish. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, FL.
