Roy Gene Norris, long time resident of Port St. Joe, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the age of 73. He was born on March 2, 1949 to the late Dennis Jefferson Norris and Ethel June Jones. Roy worked for Gulf County Schools as a bus driver for over twenty years. He loved children, spending time with family, and attending church at First Assembly of God in Apalachicola.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Grace Norris; his parents; one brother, Bobo Norris and one sister, Ada Waters.
Roy is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Lewis (James) of Port St. Joe, Florida; siblings, Clyde Norris (Ella) of Mobile, Alabama, Sarah McCloud (Bob) of Daphne, Alabama, Jenny Seymoure of Apalachicola, Florida, James Norris of Howard Creek, Florida, and one granddaughter, Maelee Lewis
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 under the pavilion at Holly Hill Cemetery in Port St. Joe, Florida
