Samual "Sam" Adam Adkison

May 18, 1989 — March 31, 2023

Samual Adam Adkison, better known as Sam to his friends and family, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at the age of 33. He was born in Panama City on May 18, 1989 and was a lifelong resident of Dalkeith, Florida. He was a 2007 graduate of Wewahitchka High school where he played football. Sam learned the value of hard work at a young age on shrimp boats and continued his workmanship throughout his construction and electrical career. He loved people and would help anyone. Sam was an amazing father to his daughter Ava and she was the apple of his eye. He enjoyed watching football, hunting, and fishing, but Sam's greatest joy was spending time with Ava.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Shell Adkison, and Harvey Bryant.


Sam is survived by his daughter Ava Ruth Adkison; his mother, Elaine Adkison; his father, Roger Adkison; siblings, Rodney Adkison, Nancy Wolinski, Aaron Brannon, and Tessa Brannon; grandmother, Mary Chason; nieces and nephews, Emma Adkison, Olivia Adkison, Annabella Adkison, Krystal Adkison, Shelton Meredith, Kelli Wolinski, and Austin Adkison; and a great nephew, Nolan Meredith. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Central time on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Wewahitchka, Florida with Pastor Taylor Smith officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM.


Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
