Shannon Marie Hardy

October 12, 1979 — July 18, 2024

Shannon Marie Hardy age 44 of White City, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on October 12, 1979 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Shannon spent most all of her life in Gulf County where she had many friends. If Shannon was your friend, you had a friend indeed. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, some of her favorites were photography, especially sunsets and clouds (God’s paintings in the sky).

She spent a lot of time on the beach just walking and looking for “little treasures”, whether it be rocks, shells, or a little piece of glass. Most people never noticed what she was searching for, but every piece she found meant the world to her because she would use them in her crafting. Shannon loved crafting everything from fairy gardens to dream catchers. She always made things to give away to make someone smile.

Shannon had a servant's heart. She served her husband proudly. She served her children with a love that will last a lifetime. Shannon had an unbreakable bond with her family and friends that we all cherish. She shined a light so bright in this world and at any given time you would hear Shannon singing praise to Jesus. Singing helped her preserve the bright light for all.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hank Watford Sr. and Belinda Jones.

Shannon is survived by her loving husband of twenty-five years, Huey Hardy of White City; three children, Haley Hardy, Raelynn Hardy, and Huey Houston Hardy III all of White City; two brothers, Timothy Watford of Wewahitchka and Hank Watford Jr. of Miami; one sister Christy Ruiz of Wewahitchka and a best friend, Stephanie Pool of Port St. Joe.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the White City boat ramp pavilion on Saturday, July 27, 2024, beginning at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time. A time of fellowship will begin at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time.

In honor of Shannon, the family is requesting that everyone wear an article of clothing with purple.

Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida.
